Darwin James Wilson, Sr., 79, of Lusby, MD passed away on October 24, 2006 at his home.

Beloved husband of the late Lillian Grover Wilson, father of Donna Lynn McCready of Lusby, Md, Dawn Marie Langley and her husband Billy of Lusby, Md. and Darwin James Wilson, Jr. and his wife Sandy of California, Md. Grandfather of Shannon McCready Willis, Melissa Wilson, Casey McCready, Danielle Langley, Eric Wilson, Joshua Langley and Sariah Wilson. He is also survived by five step grandchildren: Shanna Pitsenbarger, Andrea Pitsenbarger Grymes, Alice Braden, Chade Braden and Grace Braden, and 4 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by granddaughter Lillian Elizabeth Wilson, son-in-law Larry McCready, and his devoted companion Norma Lee Gott.

He was born February 25, 1927 in Aurora, II. to the late Niles Everett and Esther Violet Stone Wilson. "Budd" served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946, He was a member of American Legion Post #274 in Lusby, St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lusby, VFW and C&P Telephone Pioneers. He loved his family, the Washington Redskins, horseshoes, traveling, bowling, and sports. He was always a gentleman and a man of honor.

The family received friends on Wednesday October 25, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Rausch Funeral Home, Port Republic, Md. Funeral services were held on Thursday October 26, 2006 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Lusby, Md. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were; John Tierno, Dickie Pitcher, Benny Dowell and Wayne Grover. Active pallbearers were; Joshua Langley, Eric Wilson, Timmy Gott, Galen Gott, George Nichols and D. J, Nichols.
