He is survived by his sister Beth Grey James (Tony), his brother Shane, his two daughters Katie Holland (Corbin) and Kelly Allen (Cody), and his four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Ferra Grey, Sr., and his wife Maureen Elizabeth Grey (nee Petty).

Kenny grew up in navy family and lived most of his childhood in Southern Maryland and Florida. He graduated from Great Mills High School Class in 1972, and then the U. S. Naval Academy in 1976.

After 6 months of TAD at AIMD, NAS Patuxent River, Maryland, he entered flight training at NAS Pensacola, Florida where he earned his wings before entering his first operational squadron (HS3) at NAS Jacksonville, Florida.

He spent most of his naval career alternating between shore duty at NAS Jax, and sea duty aboard the USS Forrestal CV-59 in Mayport, Florida. One of his last duty stations was at NAVAIR in Washington, DC where he worked on developing the flight simulators for the Navy's new H-60 helicopters.

Kenny's three most favorite things were food, flying, and telling "sea stories" to family and friends. After retiring from the Navy he settled in Gadsden, Alabama (near his Dad and his sister) where he taught at St. James Catholic Elementary School, built sunrooms, barbequed and watched college football.
