Sachie Ochi Mansfield, 72, of Waldorf, MD, died February 19, 2009, at Genesis Waldorf Center.

Mrs. Mansfield was of the Buddist faith; loved sewing, cooking, dollmaking, knitting. Loved being in her garden. She was a kind and loving family person.

Born November 30, 1936, in Tobata, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Keiichi Ochi and the late Utake Matsubara.

Survived by her husband, Curtis Mansfield, daughters, Naomi Ecklund of SC; Hiromi Knox of PA; two brothers in Japan; five grandchildren.

Funeral service and interment will be private.
