![]() Kenneth Allan Reamy, 82, was born on January 30th, 1940 in Washington D.C. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy and father Irvin. He fought his battle of cancer with strength and a smile and won the big prize of Heaven on January 2, 2023. He was a resident of Lusby, Md. for 35 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jean, children Kelly A. Keough (John), Jennifer L. Hall, Kenneth A. Reamy II (Monica), Clifton L. Rickard (Robin), Jennifer L. Shaffer (Jimmy), sister Sandra Lagana (Frank), 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son Curtis and brother Paul. Ken attended High Point High School in Beltsville, Md. and graduated in 1958. He served in the Army National Guard for 8 years achieving Sharpshooter and Marksman. He started working as a bag boy at the Co-op grocery store in Greenbelt, later became manager and then manager at Grand Union. Ken worked as a food broker at SMI and then started his own food brokerage company, Perishable Food Sales (PFS). He retired in 2003 to enjoy his family and hobbies. Ken enjoyed waterfowl hunting, boating, fishing, crabbing, traveling, gardening, reading, grandkids events, and his lifelong love of sharing the beach with his children and grandchildren. Ken and Jean have been members of the Patuxent Presbyterian Church for the last 18 years. He was involved in the garden club, was on the Pastor search and the BELONG committees, and participated in a small bible study group for 15 years that became family. A celebration of life service will be held at Patuxent Presbyterian Church on January 28th, 2023 at 11:30am. A luncheon will be held after the service.
