Marianne Grevers Fernandez, 67 of Mechanicsville, MD died on February 17, 2009 at her residence.

Born on December 25, 1941 in Enschede, Netherlands, she was the daughter of the late Gerrit Jan and Antje Van Egmon Grevers.

Mrs. Fernandez was a Financial Analyst for L3- Titan Group. She also worked as a volunteer for the Red Cross in many clinics and hospitals in different states; enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader in Texas; was the Vice President for the Protestant Women of the Chapel, and filled different positions in the Officers Wives' Club. Marianne's hobbies were reading, traveling, bible study, crocheting, and crafts.

Survived by her husband, Robert Valentine Fernandez, children, Annemarie M. and Peter E.M. Fernandez, siblings, Matje Youngs, and husband, Edward, Niesje Lowne, and husband, Joseph, and Reinier P Grevers and wife, Roxanne, grand nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 1-3 p.m. at Hughesville Baptist Church 8505 Old Leonardtown Rd., Hughesville, MD where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Cullins officiating. Interment will be scheduled at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
