Elaine Darlene Goddard, 89, of Dunkirk, MD, formerly of Palm City, Fl, passed away in Dunkirk on December 7, 2022. Elaine was born on February 7, 1933 in Iron City, MN to the late Samuel and Saima Granroos Korpi.  She married Edward Hugh Goddard in 1954.

Elaine was described by her children as a very intelligent woman. She was employed as an editor by the Federal Government and was responsible for creating and overseeing the production of many key documents. Elaine's hobbies included reading, relaxing on the beach, and listening to musicians play at local venues. She also enjoyed traveling to both national and international destinations including taking cruises.

Elaine is survived by her sons, Robert Goddard of Georgia, James (Soliath) of Dunkirk, MD, Donald Goddard of Ft. Myers, FL and Samuel Goddard of Cocoa, FL; daughter, Barbara Gammon of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Elizabeth Pride of North Carolina, 14 grandchildren an 18 great-grandchildren. Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Edward and her daughter, Sandralee Edmanson.
