Wayne Frederick Waffird, Sr., 81, of Waldorf, Maryland, formerly of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on September 27, 2022 at Cadia Healthcare in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Born on July 12, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Aubrey Waffird and Pauline Waffird. Wayne was the Superintendent of Maintenance for Disney World in Florida before retiring. He enjoyed sports, hunting, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, anything Christmas, antique guns, boating, traveling, and tinkering. Wayne was a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) of Orlando, Florida. A Southern Baptist, he attended Lockland Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee and had entrusted his life to Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Wayne is survived by his son "Rick" Wayne Frederick Waffird II (Wife Denise Waffird) and daughter Janet Dickerson; grandchildren Cameron Waffird, Collin Waffird, and Caelyn Rogers (Husband Nathan Rogers). His siblings are Ronnie Waffird, Joyce Waffird, and Mike Waffird.

A visitation will be held on October 4th, 2022 from 1 PM until time of service at 2 PM, with reception to follow at the New Life Church Chapel, 9690 Shepherds Creek Place, La Plata, Maryland 20646.

Interment will be private in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee.
