Shirley M. Strickland, 82, of White Plains, MD passed away on February 7, 2009 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Born on February 21, 1926 to the late George Chaney and Anna E. Chaney.

She is also predceased by her Husband; Howard LeRoy Strickland.

She is survived by her daughters; Mary Ann (Robert) Lee, Diana Lee Steele, brother; George E. Chaney, sister; Margaret Kulisek, 4 grandchildren,5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. from 2 pm until time of service at 6 pm. The Rev. Ken McDonald will offciate the service. Interment will be private.
