Barbara Lee Montgomery, 61 of Hughesville, MD, died on August 14, 2022 at the University of MD Charles Regional Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Barbara was born on June 30, 1961, to the late Dora (Windsor) and George Bunting.

Over the years Barbara worked for Naval Air Systems Command in the early 1980's and later for the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension Service in Charles County, she was a Day Care Provider, and in charge of the Rustic Restorations at Hooks and Hangers in Charlotte Hall. She was artsy and enjoyed crafting, interior designing, and antiques. She loved animals. She enjoyed online gaming. Barbara was a good friend who will be remembered by her funny, witty and outgoing personality.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Montgomery.

She is survived by her son, Beau Montgomery and his significant other Roger Armiger, daughters; Jenna Meador and her husband David, and Hannah Boarman and her husband Tony, grandchildren; Kole Kosack, Charlotte Kosack, Violet Meador, Henry Boarman, and Sadie Boarman, and sisters; Lisa Thoms and her husband Keith, and Georgi Bunting and her significant other Ken.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 2:00 PM until time of Service at 4:00 PM at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be private.
