Eugene David Whetzel Jr., 64, of Waldorf, MD, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 14, 2022. Eugene, known to all as David, was born February 3, 1958, in Falls Church, VA; the eldest child of Naomi Anthony, and Eugene Whetzel Sr.

Through his tremendous commitment, and dedication, David built a long, and successful career in the Multimedia Industry, working as Vice President in Tech Operations at CSI.

David married his beloved wife, Mary (Silcott) on March 26, 1977, in Rockville, MD, and together they shared 45 wonderful years, commencing joyously with the arrival of their sons; Andy, Robbie, and Adam.
For David, his prestigious roles as Dad to his three boys, and Granddaddy to the "Whetzel 7," were by far his greatest achievements.

He will be remembered fondly by many for his kindness, humor, and helpful nature. But above all, as a man who loved, and cherished his family deeply. His love, and light will continue to live on through the family he held so dear.

David was preceded in death by his father; Eugene Whetzel Sr., and stepfather; Junior Anthony. He is survived by his wife; Mary Whetzel, his mother; Naomi Anthony, his sons; Andrew, Robert, and Adam Whetzel, his daughters-in-law; Shannon, Leah, and Ellie Whetzel, his seven grandchildren; Morgan, Dylan, Justin, Tyler, Mason, Leo, and Eva, his sisters; Tracy, Ginger, and Theresa, and his brothers; Raymond, Buddy, and Doug, along with countless extended family members, and friends.
David will be loved, missed, and remembered, always.
