![]() Walter Moncue Quesenberry, age 75, died February 4, 2009 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick. He was born July 14, 1933 in Willis, Floyd County, VA, where he was raised and attended school.
He moved to Calvert County where he worked at a sawmill, and lived in a boarding house in Paris, now part of Owings. He met Jeannete G. Sewell, and they married November 2, 1963, and lived and raised their family in the Chaneyville area in Owings. Mr. Quesenberry was a heavy equipment operator for Thomas L. Hance excavating company for 45 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed working on antique tractors, attending car and hot rod shows, and being the neighborhood repairman, handyman and tinkerer. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeannie in 2008, and is survived by a daughter Patricia L. Carroll and her husband Rick of Shinnston, WV; a son David E. Quesenberry of Owings; his grandson Corbin C. Carroll of Shinnston; brothers Vernon, Paul and Sammy Quesenberry, and sisters Joann Harmen, Marlene Dickerson and Brenda Griffin. He was preceded in death by a brother Dale Quesenberry, and his parents Walter and Virginia Cox Quesenberry. Arrangements provided by Rausch Funeral Home. |
