Joseph Clarence Dunbar, Sr., "Joe", age 65, of Scotland, Maryland, died January 29, 2009 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

Born December 15, 1943 in Dameron, Maryland, he was the son of Paul W. Dunbar and Cecelia B. Dunbar. Mr. Dunbar was an Army Veteran and retired from Pax River having worked in Aviation Electronics. He was an outdoors man who loved hunting and fishing. He was also a member of the Confederate Memorial Park Association in Point Lookout, Maryland.

Mr. Dunbar is survived by his sons, Joseph C. Dunbar, Jr., Kelly J. McCreery, Sean P. McCreery, Scott C. McCreery, David R. Dunbar and Alan M. Dunbar; daughter, Kasey Joe Dunbar and brother Charles Dunbar; also 9 grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sons Charles B. Dunbar and Mark W. Dunbar; also a brother, Paul Knighton Dunbar, Sr.

A celebration of Mr. Dunbar's life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. , 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Inurnment will be private.
