![]() Diane Boies Hindle, age 79, of LaPlata, MD died peacefully on April 29, 2022 while residing in Taylor Farm Assisted Living in Bushwood, MD.
Born October 17, 1942 in Takoma Park, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Virginia (Kirby) Boies and wife of the late George Hindle. After bravely battling polio in the late 1940's, Ms. Hindle went on to lead an active life. She enjoyed league bowling and softball, swimming, waterskiing, dancing, homemakers club, sewing and gardening. She was an avid traveler, loved animals and bird watching and was a sports enthusiast. She was a devout Washington Redskins and Nationals fan and enjoyed season tickets and many Superbowl trips with her husband and friends. After graduating LaPlata High School in 1961, Ms. Hindle worked in the administrative field for many years prior to retiring. Ms. Hindle lived an active life with her family and friends until the long-term effects of polio limited her activities and lifestyle she so loved. She was lovingly dedicated her entire adult life to her husband George for over 50 years and her 3 children. She is survived by her children Christopher Hindle (Crissy); Karen Hindle Schuler (Andrew); Alison Hindle Mandley (Brian). She was an adoring grandmother to Joshua Mandley; Haley Mandley; Riley Grainger; Drew Hindle; Quinn Schuler; Matthew Hindle; Helen Schuler and countless beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband George Hindle; parents William and Virginia Boies; siblings Donna Boies Beavers and William Boies. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 9:30AM until time of service at 11:30AM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646 with the Reverend Dr. Susan D. Boehl officiating. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, Maryland.
