Abraham Shasho, 97, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall.

Born on January 22, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Harry Shasho and Celia Shasho. Abraham served in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II before being Honorably Discharged in 1946 at the rank Corporal. He then worked in retail sales, operating several of his own businesses. He enjoyed playing checkers, watching the movie "The Godfather Part II", watching the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles, cruising and traveling, and being a proud Marine.

In addition to his parents, Abraham was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Juana Isabel Shasho; siblings Ester Fallas, Rachel Fair, twin brother Joseph, Samuel, David, Jackie, Banjo, and Morris Shasho; daughter-in-law Mary Shasho.

He is survived by his sons Harry A. Shasho, Raymond Shasho and his wife Sharon; grandchildren Chris Shasho and his wife Sarah, Raymond Shasho and his wife Michelle, Teresa Shasho, Michelle Wallin and her husband Bill; great grandchildren Charis Shasho, Anthony Clark, Jack Shasho, Isabel Rubio, Madden Shasho, Ellie Wallin, Maci Shasho, Rylee Shasho, and Benjamin Shasho and; his brother Maxie Shasho.

Funeral Services and interment will be private.
