Betty Marie Pekarek, 87, of Waldorf, MD died on February 27, 2022 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Betty was born on July 23, 1934 in Cleveland, OH to the late Flora (Blechschmid) and Charles E. Sattler.
Betty was an accomplished musician (piano) early on. She graduated from East High School and attended Case Western Reserve University. She was employed as an executive secretary for General Electric. She loved animals, cooking, entertaining, gardening, and traveling with her late husband. Betty was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Morgan Pekarek, and brother Alvin Sattler.

She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Sattler, sisters in-law, Jean Pekarek and Caroline Sattler. Beloved Aunt to Dale Pekarek (Casey), Lee Pekarek (Bunny), Edward Pekarek Jr, (Laura), Catherine Zimmerman (Christopher), Susanne Sattler and Christopher Sattler.

Betty will be remembered as kind, sharing, gregarious individual. We extend our gratitude to the Becker and Cain Families for their love and support to Betty. We also wish to acknowledge the excellent care provided by the Staff of Charles Regional Medical Center. She will be greatly missed by her Ohio and her Maryland Families.

Private Celebration of Life Service will be held in Maryland. Ohio Services to be determined.
