Shannon Anne Maggi, 47, of La Plata, MD, died January 17, 2009.

Miss Maggi was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata. Shannon enjoyed going to Spurs and listening to her favorite Country Western Band, Southwinds. Kevin, the band leader, always sang to her. Shannon always had a smile for everyone and accepted her illness without complaint. We can take comfort knowing that Shannon is at peace and healed and happy with her daddy and other relatives who loved her. She is walking among the angels.

Born November 20, 1961, in Okinawa, Japan, she was the daughter of the late William S. Maggi and Ann J. Moriarty Maggi.

Survived by her mother, Ann J. Maggi; brothers, Christopher S. and his wife Kim Maggi of Waldorf, MD; William S. Maggi of Washington, DC; sisters, Anne J. Maggi of La Plata, MD; Gail M. and her husband Philip Pannill of Sharpsburg, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be January 25, 2009, 2-4PM and 6-8PM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Rosary will begin at 3PM and prayers at 7PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be January 26, 2009, 9:30AM, Sacred Heart Church, La Plata. Fr. Ron Potts will officiate.

Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
