Robert Earl Stansell Sr of Prince Frederick, MD husband of Robin L Stansell; passed away on February 3, 2022. He was born on July 3, 1955 in Greenville, SC to the late Roy L Stansell Sr and to the late Gladys Sizemore Stansell.

He is survived by his daughters Ashley M Stansell and Anastasia N Stansell; son Robert E Stansell Jr; stepchildren Jennifer L Claggett, Andrew J Wegner, Joseph F Wegner, and Anthony L Wegner Jr; grandchildren, Isiah R Claggett, Easton Stansell, Abigail Wegner, and Ryan Curtin; siblings, Roy L Stansell Jr, Anne Stansell, and Linda Hostetler. As well as, three nieces, other family members and friends.

Robert, best known as Petie, began his career as a used car wholesaler at 16 by taking a train to auto auctions in the DMV area and having them shipped back to SC. He eventually relocated to Maryland in the early eighties where he continued to buy and sell cars. He enjoyed watching his daughter, Ashley, begin her hobbies in demo derby and U-car dirt track racing. He could often be found playing with matchbox cars with his favorite buddy Zay (Isiah) or taking Abigail to the Dollar Store and McDonald's and watching shows with Ryan. He enjoyed country music, old westerns, Little Rascals, and anything sweet.

Those that new Petie, know how much he enjoyed watching Ashley race, so much so that he helped her purchase a car so she could change classes from ucar to strictly stock.
