Melvin R. Quinn "Mel", 61, of Owings, MD passed away at his home on January 29, 2022. Born in Cheverly, MD he was the son of the late George and Catherine (Edwards) Quinn. Mel worked for Commercial Equipment Repair for over thirty years. He enjoyed riding his Harley, coordinating neighborhood fireworks displays, holiday decorating, and spending times with his family and friends.

Mel is survived by his companion, Laura Watkins, and his ex-wife Kathryn Quinn. Three sons; Christopher (Laura), Justin (Meredith), and David (Megan). Seven Grandsons: Christopher, Jr., Tyler, Logan, Austin, Mac, Jay, and Remi. Four sisters; Beverly Annadale (Jim), Priscilla Milstead (Wes), Sharon Lichtenberg (Cliff), and Patricia Demers (Jimmy). He was preceded in death by his brother George H. Quinn, Jr.

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane Owings, MD 20736 on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm where a Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private.
