Betty Louise May, 90, passed away January 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 14, 1931, in the family home on Mac's hollow Road in Prince Frederick, Md. to the late James Edward Conner and Georgia Jeanette (Denton) Conner.

Betty had a love for animals, especially her numerous dogs over the years and the many stray cats that she took care of and loved. She loved tending to her many flowerbeds and watching all the birds around her home, her special bird was the Cardinal. She loved to collect (and give) angels and birdhouses. Betty loved to travel, visiting Tennessee, Florida, Maine, and the campground at Bethpage in Urbanna, VA, the Grand Canyon, and more, but was happiest when at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren, 86 in total.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, her husband Benjamin W. Cochrane. Her second husband Benjamin May, her brother Robert Conner, her daughters, Pat Coyle and husband Mike, Barbara Linehan, son in law Ed Morgan and daughter in law Betty Cochrane and her grandsons Billy Copsey, and Lance Copsey.

Betty is survived by her brother Glenn Conner, her children, Frankie Cochrane, Sandra Morgan, Ann Lundregan, Billy Cochrane (Vickie), Kay Atwood, (John), and Dale Cochrane, (Marie).

The family will receive friends on Thursday February 3, 2022 from 10 until the time of her funeral at 12 noon at Trinity United Methodist Church in Prince Frederick where Betty has been a life time member. Interment will follow in Mt Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery, Owings Md. Memorial contributions may be made to either Calvert Hospice, Trinity United Methodist Church or Linda Kelly Animal Shelter.
