Patricia J. Wylie, 76, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata.

Born on June 17, 1945 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Harold Thomas and Jean Klein. Pat was a long-time employee with the Federal Government before retiring as a Program Analyst. She loved playing card games with family and friends, playing Keno and the lottery, going to the casino to play slot machines and Black Jack. Pat also enjoyed watching football, NASCAR races and bull riding. Some of her favorite television shows include Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, NCIS, and the classic game shows. In her earlier years, Pat enjoyed Michelob Ultra and Bloody Mary's, while hanging out with friends at the Seashell Restaurant and Bar in Oxon Hill, MD and the Bunker Hill Inn in Waldorf. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved to decorate the inside and outside of her home.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Billy Dean Wylie; step-father Jack Dean Klein; brother Robert Thomas; her two favorite aunts, Mary Lou Williams and Ruth Kay Marshall.

She is survived by her daughters Christine Abney (Larry) and Tracey Kost-Brady (Steve); grandchildren John Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Cory Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Kyle Kost, and Sawyer Kost; one great granddaughter McKenna Johnson; extended grandchildren Jenna Abney, Olivia Brady, Jayden Carneal, and Isis Wyatt; sister and best friend of 56 years, Martha "Marty" Gorham (Doug).

A gathering will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12Noon until time of Service at 2PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.

Interment will be private.
