Troy Lindsey Reid, age 49 departed this world on January 6, 2022 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He was born to the late Lindsey James Reid and Lorraine Georgette Reid on July 28, 1972. Troy is survived by his wife, Tien' Shermise Reid; daughters Diamond Alexis Reid, Troi Jushunte Reid, Anastasia Jeanique Gilmore, Theresa Monet Emerson, and Amber Jeanay Emerson; two grandkids, Akir Jovan Stepney and Autumn Janelle Allen. Troy is also survived by his siblings, Tracey Rawlings-Smith (Vincent) and Tavarus Tony Reid; mother-in-law, Peggy Sue Thompson; sisters-in-law, Melissa Thompson and Patrice Young; brothers-in-law, Craig Robinson, Jamal Gilmore and Marcus Gilmore and a host of other relatives and friends. Troy was preceded in death by his brother, Taurus "TJ" Reid, sister-in-law, Latisha Gilmore, brother-in-law, Bruce Gilmore, II and father-in-law, Bruce Gilmore, I.

Troy grew up in Calvert County, MD where he attended North Beach Elementary School. He later moved to Montgomery County, MD with his family and attended Montgomery Blair High School. He took various jobs and retired as a truck driver/delivery person for Benhnke's Nursery. Troy married his long-term partner Tien' in 2013. Later in life Troy and Tien' began their own thriving lawn service which will continue. Troy enjoyed riding/racing motorcycles, playing poker, telling vivid stories, and his love for his family and friends was abundant.
