Dale Arbogast was born in Hacker Valley, West Virginia, son of Nellie Jordan Arbogast and Karl Arbogast on October 12 1924. He had three younger sisters; Jesse, Juanita, and Betty.

Dale met his wife Rosemary Arbogast of Cleveland, West Virginia when she was 12. Although older, he knew she was the one. After Dale served as a Radio Operator during WWII, they married when Rosemary was 17. They remained sweethearts throughout a loving marriage of 72 years. During their marriage they were blessed with three sons Robert (Bob), Richard (Dick) and Bradford (Brad).

As a result of a love for learning and education, the family moved to Maryland in 1956 where they raised their family and became active members in their church and community.

Dale received education in teaching and earned a Master's degree in education from West Virginia Wesleyan University. In Maryland, he pursued additional education and became a teacher and elementary school principal. Dale worked for the Charles County Public School System, retiring with ~35 years of service. He also served the county as a volunteer firefighter with over 50 years of service.

Dale and Rosemary worshiped regularly at Marbury Baptist Church. He enjoyed supporting his family, friends and community.

Dale is preceded in death by his wife Rosemary and son Dick as well as his sisters Jesse and Betty. He is survived by sons - Bob (Robin), and Brad (Pat); sister-in-law Linda (Craig); grandchildren - Rob, Rick, Sarah (Harry), Philip, Grace; great grandchildren - Elodie, Newton, Michael, Tiffany, Nick, Katie, Chris, Zack, Samuel, as well as nieces and nephews Anne, Ellen, Edwin, Penny, Rodney, Joe, Pamela and Nancy.

Dale was a man of great faith, wisdom. He was also a great story teller – and ALWAYS a teacher! He was a kind and supportive center for the entire family. His smile and presence will be missed forever.
