Valrie Leathene Williams, daughter of the late Joenathan Williams and Julia Dell Williams was born October 3, 1968 in St. Matthews, South Carolina. Valrie lost her battle to Breast Cancer which she dealt with for over 25 years. Valrie passed away peacefully at her home on December 19, 2021.

Valrie was a 1987 graduate of Friendly High School, in Fort Washington, Maryland. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Notre Dame College, in Baltimore Maryland. She also earned a Masters degree in Higher Education from George Washington University, in Washington, D.C. She had a successful career in the Federal Government supporting the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations. She had 32 years of service. She was also a licensed Real-Estate agent for the state of Maryland.

At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Maple Springs Baptist Church, in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Most recently, she was a devoted member of New Life Church, in LaPlata, Maryland. She had a beautiful voice and loved singing for the Lord. She was a member of the Thessian Sisters located in Waldorf Maryland.

Valrie was a tremendously strong woman, who was devoted to her family and children. Valrie loved to travel and owned many timeshares. She also had a passion for real-estate and home remodeling. She was a very kind hearted and forgiving person.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 14 years Rodney Jenkins; son Shaw Williams; daughter Gabrielle Williams; step children Rodney Jenkins, Jr, Ranell Rufferman, Nyache Jenkins, and Rodney Jenkins III; grand children Leira Rufferman, Sage brown, and Luka Rufferman; two sisters-in-law Tracy Jenkins and Chervelle Jacobs; mother-in-law Linda Jenkins; and a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.

Visitation is on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 10:30am-1:30pm at Raymond Funeral Service with an additional visitation on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 10:30am-11:00am at New Life Church.

Interment to follow at Heritage Memorial Cemetery.
