Hubert Lee Scott, 82, died at home surrounded by family on November 21,2021. He was born on December 16, 1938, in Arlington, VA the son of Robert Doyle Scott and Margaret Eugenia (Chism) Scott. Hubert grew up in Arlington and graduated from Washington & Lee High School in 1956. In June 1961 he married Diane Swain Clarke. In 1962-4 he served in the U.S. Army in El Paso, TX. He worked most of his life at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, DC as an apprentice, machinist, shop planner, and then engineering technician.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert. Surviving in addition to his wife, Diane (Swain Clarke) Clarke Scott, are his sons, Robert Joseph Scott and wife Diane Marie Scott of San Diego, CA and Thomas Lee Scott of Paris, FR; three grandchildren Laura, Julian, and Megan.

The family will have a private viewing and interment. Those who wish to remember Hubert in a special way may make gifts in his memory to support Pancreatic Cancer Research at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore, MD.
