Joseph Franklin Reio Sr., of Great Mills, MD (formally from Forestville, MD) passed away on November 13, 2021. He was born on April 14, 1947 in Bowie, MD to Ernest Vincent Reio and Audrey Mae Reio (Hardesty).

Joseph was a heavy equipment operator for 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling, drinking, and being with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Vincent Reio and Audrey Mae Reio (Hardesty) and siblings, Benjamin Reio and Colleen Duncan.

He is survived by his wife Vicki Reio (Rice) of 53 years, children; Joseph Franklin Reio Jr. (Janet), Donna Jean Reio Rand, and preceded in death by Tammy Sue Reio Brummitt. Grandchildren; Samantha Grasso (Doug), Cody Brummitt (Sara), Ethan Rand (Heather), Jacob Brummitt (Rachel), Newell Rand (Cameron), Joseph Reio (Megan), Kyle Reio (Kayla), and Kameron Reio. Great Grandchildren; Autumn Hatcher, Evan Lincoln, Thomas Garner, Henry Brummitt, Jacob Brummitt Jr, Isabelle Brummitt, and Jamie Rand. He is also survived by his siblings; Becky Duncan, Linda Miller, Barbara Reio, Johnny Duncan, Jimmy Duncan, and Cathy Duncan.

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Epiphany Episcopal Cemetery 3111 Ritchie Road Forestville, MD 20747.
