On Friday, October 29, 2021, Alice Cochran Williams went to sleep in the Lord. Alice was born on August 10, 1941 to Joseph Warren Cochran and Ruth Rebecca Cochran. Alice was a life-long resident of Calvert County. She graduated from Calvert High School in June of 1959 and one week later married the love of her life, Gerald David Williams. From their union three children were born – David, Daryl, and Dana.

Alice re-entered the workforce once all three children were in school. She worked for the Calvert County Office of Aging and then Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant (Baltimore Gas and Electric) from where she retired from her position as a managerial secretary.

Alice favorite pastimes included playing cards, boating, camping, playing word games, watching the Baltimore Orioles, and eating crabs. Our family spent most of our Friday nights at Abner's eating crabs with friends. Her face lit up whenever she saw her grandchildren. She was definitely one to spoil them.

She is survived by her children David Williams, Daryl Williams (Rene Boyd), and Dana Plater (Roland), brothers Harry Cochran (Barbara) and Karl Anderson (Jeanne), daughter-in-law Christina "Tina" McMahon, grandchildren Ryan Plater, Travis Williams, Brooke Plater, Courtney Williams, Allison Plater, Danielle Williams, Kaitlyn Plater, and Matthew Plater, sisters-in-law Alberta Williams and Kay Quade, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald (PopPop), parents Joseph Cochran and Ruth Beverly, brother Robert "Bob" Cochran, Sr., sisters Barbara Jean Lusby, Helen Tennyson, and Edna Mawyer, and niece Gail Ann Colace.
