John Martin "Sonny" Boughman, 88, of Owings and formerly of Huntingtown passed away October 12, 2021. He was born November 11, 1932 in Baltimore, MD to John and Margret Boughman. Sonny grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Ramsey High School. He married his loving wife Kathleen on June 4, 1954 and they lived in New Jersey before moving to Huntingtown where they lived for 32. Sonny and Kathleen then moved to Leesburg, FL where they lived for 11 years before moving to back to Owings in November of 2020. Sonny was employed with Seafarers in Camp Springs for many years, retiring in 1992. He also owned and operated Neptune's Pub in North Beach with his family for 15 years. He was a former member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Leesburg, FL. In his spare time Sonny enjoyed playing golf, bowling, bocce, and sea fishing.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Kathleen Boughman, children John Boughman and wife Jenny, Jacqueline Verdon, and Jody Pickens and husband Allen, grandchildren Jeffrey Verdon, Lara Skye Tikkenan, Jayme Hall, Jeremy Verdon, Jihan Boughman, Michael Pickens, Ross Boughman, Sonney Pickens, Michelle Pickens, and Jillian Verdon, and great-grandchildren Jovanni Hall, Alex Tikkenan, Luciano Hall, Bailey Pickens, Katie Pickens, Mikko Tikkenan, Rosie Hall, Tori Verdon, Mia Pickens, and Shane Verdon.

The family asks that anyone not vaccinated please wear a mask during the visitation and service.
