M. Cecelia Green, 81, of La Plata, MD, died December 27, 2008, at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. `

She was a secretary for 17 years with Lawyers Title Insurance Company. She was a member of St. John's Broadcreek Episcopal Church, Oxon Hill, MD. She was a former girl scout leader and director of the Oxon Hill Fire Department majorettes. She enjoyed camping, and wood crafting .

Born December 25, 1927, in Oxon Hill, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Adelbert Pickerall and the late Florence Henrietta Petty.

Predeceased by her parents and her late husband, Jesse R. Green and son, Daniel L. Green, and grandson, Kevin Green.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce and her husband Louis Schmidt of La Plata, MD; brother, John and his wife Elaine Pickerall of CA; sister, L. Dorothy Jones of Waldorf, MD. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 31, 2008, from 11-1PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 1PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Reverend Timothy Steele will officiate.

Interment will be Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
