Dale Eugene Russell, Sr., 67, of Lexington Park, MD, passed away on August 14, 2021 at his home.

He was born on June 13, 1954 in Leonardtown, MD to the late Theodore Marshall Russell and Mary Elizabeth Porter Russell.

Dale is a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County. He was employed for over 20 dedicated years as a truck driver for the Trading Post in Great Mills, MD. He was looking forward to retirement at the end of this year. He recently bought a boat which he planned to spend time with his son and grandchildren on family outings. His hobbies included rebuilding engines, working on cars, watching movies, and fishing. He grew bountiful vegetable gardens. He enjoyed the company and conversations with his best friend Charlie.

Dale is survived by his son, Dale "DJ" E. Russell, Jr. (Sarah) of Hollywood, MD, his brother, Mark S. Russell of Flowery Branch, GA. his grandsons, Teddy and Lucas Russell; and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his siblings: Linda S. Jones, Janet F. Purcell, and Ted A. Russell.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service officiated by Reverend Joe Orlando at 11:00 a.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Great Mills, MD.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Russell, Jr, Chris Jones, James Connelly, and Charlie Langley.
