Fausto Anthony Marino, 83, of Port Republic, MD passed away peacefully at home Sunday, July 25, 2021, with his family by his side. Fausto was born in Washington, DC, January 25, 1938, the son of Italian-American immigrants Nick and Lucia Marino. After spending much of his childhood in Italy during World War II, Fausto returned to the Washington, DC area, where he completed his schooling, served eight years in the United States Marine Corps (1956-1964), and became a well-established businessman. Fausto's businesses derived from his passions in life. His love and success in the sport of drag racing in the 1960's led him to become a pioneer of warehouse distribution. What began as a small automotive business known as Automotive Specialties with fellow racing partner John Gaines, grew to become G&M Performance Parts, a state-of-the-art warehouse distributing high-performance auto parts to more than 4,500 businesses up and down the East Coast and most of the Southeast. Fausto's other passion in life was the sport of big game hunting which allowed him to travel the world and eventually partner with his long-time friend and hunting associate Bill Henderson to manufacture and distribute STEELFORCE Broadhead arrows. Though he travelled the world, Calvert County was home where he resided and raised a family on St. Leonard Creek for most of his life. He was a family man, a devout Catholic and lived to serve God, always.

Fausto Marino is survived by his wife Vicci Marino, son Karl Myers, daughter Kara Tettimer, son-in-law Matthew Tettimer, and grandchildren Dylan Myers, Natalie Marino, Leighton Tettimer, Olivia Tettimer, Kolton Tettimer, and Bryce Myers. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, William Anthony "Tony" Marino; his elder brother, Joseph Anthony Marino; and his devoted parents, Nick and Lucia Marino. Mr. Marino's family would like to thank Calvert Hospice for making Mr. Marino's final days comfortable and filled with dignity.

A visitation will be held from 10 am -11 am on Monday, August 2, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 105 Vianney Lane Prince Frederick, Maryland 20678, with mass immediately to follow. After the completion of mass, the burial will take place at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 8401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, Maryland 20722 with a reception to follow at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that you send donations to Calvert Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
