Stanley "Shorty" Shelton of Huntingtown, MD, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 after a long battle with Lung Cancer. He was born in Indian Head, MD to the late Elizabeth K. Weeks Shelton and George W. Shelton. Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Vivian Anne Click Shelton. Siblings; Ralph, Pete, Robert (Gwen), Norman (Carolyn), Thelma Wesley and Shirley Woods. He is preceded in death by her siblings; George, French, Donald, Ernest, Leonard, Louis, Harrold, Clarence, Herman, Dorothy Scholls and Ethel Alderman.

Stanley joined the United States Army in 1961 where he served in Korea and Hawaii. He returned home and worked as a carpenter at Local Union #1590 for over 40 years. He married and moved to Huntingtown, MD. Stanley enjoyed traveling, fishing, crabbing and was a member of the American Legion Post 206 in Chesapeake Beach, MD. Additionally, he loved being out on his boat, gambling, cruises and building and working with his hands.
Stanley will forever be missed by his family and friends…to know his was to love him.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private.
