Herbert Algernon Liverman, Jr. 88, of Mechanicsville Maryland, passed away June 20, 2021 in the comfort of his home. He was born August 8, 1932 in Plymouth North Carolina to Herbert Liverman, Sr. and Leta Liverman (Tripp). Herbert was one (1) of two (2) children and he started school in 1938 and finished High School in 1951.

Not long after he graduated high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served his country proud for 4 years before he was honorable discharged in 1955. He met the love of his life Cecily Liverman (Strickland) at a pub and together they spent many years of blissful marriage. The love Herbert had for Cecily had no bounds. It was rare to see one without the other and he treasured every moment with her right up until her passing on July 17, 2001.

Herbert's second marriage was to Mary Liverman (Winkelman), they met playing cards with friends and married on November 2, 2002. They were very happy with each other during this time. Mary passed away September 17, 2015.

Herbert was well known in the community. He worked in construction from 1957 to 2002 helping build and repair roadways and bridges and though his job he made many life-long friends though the years. Herbert moved to Maryland in 1972, purchased 30 acres in Mechanicsville and built his own house in 2002.

To know Herbert was to know a very kind and selfless, hardworking man with a heart of gold. When he wasn't spending time with his family, he could easily be found enjoying a nice cool breeze on a warm summers evening. Sitting with a fishing rod, line in the water, listening to the sound of waves and birds singing their songs. He started fishing with his Dad at the age of seven and stopped fishing at the rip age of 86. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.

Farrah Mariani (Nurse/Caretaker/Friend) cared for Mary first and then Herbert, for the last eight years. Farrah provided comfort and support to them in their final days and was by Herbert's bedside when he passed.

Family will receive friends at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory at 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622, Tuesday June 29, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
