![]() Mary Kit "Kitten" Peacock, 46, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on December 16, 2008 at Calvert Memorial Hospital. She was born in Prince Frederick, MD on May 30, 1962 to Jack W. Simmons and Anne V. Buckmaster Hutchins.
She was the beloved wife of James Lawrence Peacock, Jr. Mary was a lifelong Calvert Co. resident and graduated from Calvert Senior High School. She made her career as an administrative assistant for Calvert Well Drilling, Winslow Pump and Well, and Chesapeake Living Treasures where she resigned due to her illness. Mary loved to work and take control of any situation head-on. Her hobbies included shopping, watching TV, gardening, cooking, and afternoon naps. She was very passionate about her two dogs Reggie and Giggett, which she referred to as her babies. She was preceded in death by her sister Vicki Lynn Simmons and her brother Edward "Big Gene" Brady. Mary is survived by her loving husband, James L. Peacock, Jr.; father, Jack W. Simmons; mother, Anne V. Hutchins; step-father, Earl "Puddin" Hutchins; step-son, Thomas Peacock; mother in-law, Anita Peacock; brother, Jackson W. Simmons and wife Sandy; sister, Annette M. Blaylock and husband Larry Moore, Sr.; brother in-law, Robert Peacock; nephews, Brad Sutton, Larry Moore, Jr., Jon Simmons, Chris Wasson, Sean Brady, and Caleb Simmons; nieces, Brenda Grierson, Stephanie Wasson, Anita James, Melissa, Dominique, and Amber Moore, and Tori Simmons. Many more family members will mourn Mary's passing from our presence. Mary was diagnosed with cancer in March 2008 and she fought that horrible disease until God intervened and took her home to rest. May God bless her loved ones and guide them until they meet again. Pallbearers will be Larry Moore, Sr., S. Ricky Buckmaster, Donnie Gribble, Brad Sutton, Chris Wasson, and Ricky Norris.
