Evelyn Virginia Crowther Davison, 89, of Hughesville died December 14, 2008, at her home.

She was born June 6, 1919 to the late Reuben and Jesse Crowther of Avalon, Virginia. She married Homer Allen Davison Sr. in 1938 and raised five children. She loved and enjoyed her family, playing cards, crocheting, and puzzle books.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings James, Irene, Libby and Roy, and two children, Robert and Glenn.

She is survived by her sister and husband, Ruby and Russell Schreeck of Leesburg, Florida; two sons and their wives, Homer Allen Jr. and Evelyn Davison of Charlotte Hall, and Harry Lee Sr. and Phyllis Davison of DeBary, Florida; one daughter, Jo Ann Cook of Hughesville; 14 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on December 20 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD. Prayers will be offered by the Rev. Gerald G. Small at 12 noon, followed by interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.
