Augusta Emilie "Gussie" Wiszbicki, 85, of St. Leonard, MD formerly from Huntington, Long Island, NY passed away peacefully at her residence on December 10, 2008. She was born September 23, 1923 in North Hempstead, Long Island, NY to the late Ernest Herman Dau and Mary May Clara Holdorf. She was the beloved wife of Edward Wiszbicki with whom she married on November 22, 1943 in Northport, Long Island, NY.

Gussie was a homemaker and moved to Calvert Co. from Long Island, NY in October of 2005 to be closer to her family. She was a devoted member of the Eastern Star- ADAH Chapter #52, loved bowling, shuffleboard, sewing, gardening, crocheting, and knitting.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Elsie, Henry, Ernest, Otto, and William. Gussie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Edward Wiszbicki or St. Leonard, MD; daughter, Wanda Stehle and husband Frederick of St. Leonard, MD; granddaughter, Lisa Kelley and husband Mike of Prince Frederick, MD; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Erin, and Sara Kelley all of Prince Frederick, MD; Siblings, Louise of New York, and Martha of Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 2-4 PM and Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Rausch Funeral Home Chapel, Port Republic, MD where a Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday. A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, December 18, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in the MD Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
