Bonnie Lee Smith, 71, of Lusby, Md. and formerly of Annapolis, Md. passed away on November 23, 2020 at the Hyattsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 8, 1949 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Charles Moody and the late Shirley Ann Colleli.

Bonnie graduated from Northwestern High School in 1967 and attended Maryland University. She moved to Calvert County from Annapolis, Md. in 1994. Bonnie received her law degree and practiced Family Law in Prince Frederick for nine years. She was also a Real Estate Agent. Bonnie enjoyed fishing, boating and bowling.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Barry Smith whom she married on July 19, 1986 in Gainesville, FL; her father, Charles Moody of Gainesville, FL; her son, Robert Leslie Hope and his wife Kara of Stevensville, Md.; three grandchildren; and her siblings, Butch Moody of Gainesville, FL, Steve Moody of St. Petersburg, FL, Chance Moody of Gainesville, FL and Casey Moody of Gainesville, FL.

Family received friends on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service conducted by Deacon Chad Martin following at 12:00 p.m. at Rausch Funeral Home, 20 American Lane, Lusby, Md. 20657. Entombment followed in Southern Memorial Gardens, Dunkirk, Md.
