Eugene S. Gutrick, Sr., 56 of Bryans Road, Maryland.

Eugene Stanley Gutrick, Sr., affectionately known by family and friends as "Gene", was born on September 24, 1964, in Washington, D.C., to Roland Thomas and Josephine Elizabeth Gutrick. On December 9, 2020, one of God's angels spread its wings and took flight at Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, VA. The angel whispered to Gene, the Lord has sent for you. Gene whispered to the angel, I'm ready. He put his hand in the Master's hand and he is now with the Lord.

Gene grew up in Charles County, Maryland. He was educated in the Charles County Public School system. Gene met and married the love of his life, Tracy on August 10, 2001, and from this union 2 children, Eugene, Jr., and Eurecka were born. He worked for many years as a Chef at the Naval Base in Indian Head, MD. Gene accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Zion Baptist Church. He joined Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church through Christian Experience on October 8, 2006, under the leadership of Rev. Francis J. Ford.

Gene enjoyed fishing, cooking, shooting pool with his many friends and watching his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed listening to music. His favorite musical artists were Charlie Wilson "aka" Mr. Charlie and Freddie Jackson; however, what Gene loved most was spending time with family and friends and spoiling his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roland Gutrick, Jr., his sister, Carolyn Mason; grandparents, John and Josephine Keys and Mitchell and Jessie Gutrick; mother-in-law, Laverne Price, father-in-law, William Rosier, Sr., and brother-in-law, Harry Dyson.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife of 19 years, Tracy; two children, Eugene, Jr., and Eurecka; his four grandchildren, Elijah, McKenzie, Kileah and Elias; three brothers, Larry Simpson and Ronnie and David Gutrick; six sisters, Yvonne Thomas, Joyce Proctor, Sheila Jenifer, Connie Simpson, Diane Proctor, and Patricia Dyson; seven brothers-in-law, William Rosier, Jr., Roger Thomas, Lloyd Jenifer, David Proctor, Steve Proctor, Gary Price and Joseph Mason; five sisters-in-law, Tracy Rosier Smith, Ileatha Price, Velba Gutrick, Mary Rosier and Devera King; close friends, Frank Wade, Kevin Johnson and Samuel Jackson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
