Caroline Ann Payne, 73, of North Beach, MD passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020. She was born to parents Avesta J. and Ray J. Good on October 21, 1947, in Stanley, VA.

Caroline worked as a school bus driver. After 27 years of service, she retired from Prince Georges County Schools.

She enjoyed boating, fishing and cuddling with her beloved dog, "Tucker". She loved family and friends gathering together telling stories and spending time with each other at the family home. She was a "Mom" or "Mammaw" to everyone she loved. There was never a stranger when Caroline was involved, everyone was a member of the family.

Caroline met George "Ron" Payne in 1990. They were married at the family home on June 22, 1991 in North Beach, MD. They created their family with Caroline's children, Ronald D. Nebel, Jr. and Lynn M. Nebel and Ron's daughter, Donna L. Payne.

Caroline is survived by her husband, Ron, sister, Sharon Marks, brothers, Gary and Ray Good, Jr., children, Ronald D. Nebel, Jr. (Billy Sue), Lynn M. Nebel and Donna L. Payne; along with six grandchildren, Meagan L. Lewis (Kyle), Kristina Wells (Chris), David Lopez, Corrie Lopez, Joshua Lopez (Vanessa) and last but NEVER least – Ryan C. Nebel. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Brady and Kinleigh.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Sue Fay and her brother-in-law, Robert Marks.

A family and friend celebration of Carol's life will be held at the family home on Saturday, November 14, 2020, from 1 to 4 pm. Masks and social distancing is required by all in attendance.
