Nancy Beth (Williams) Richards, passed away peacefully at her home on November 7, 2020, in Mechanicsville, Maryland at the age of 87.

Nancy is survived by her sons, James Richards (Joyce) of Heathsville, VA, Steven Richards (Kim) of Brandywine, MD, David Richards (Cathy) of Brandywine, MD and daughter, Betsy Richards Cusic (Rick) of Mechanicsville, MD. "Nan" is survived by 7 grandchildren; Zachary Richards (Jennifer), Nicole Fluhart (Danny), David Richards, Raleigh Richards (Constance), Rhett Richards, Will Cusic (Erin), and Matt Cusic. "Nan" also has six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband; Ralph (Skip) Richards, parents; Chester and Margaret Williams, brothers; Chester Williams and Donald Williams, and grandson; Travis Richards.

Nancy was born on March 11, 1933 in Hopewell, VA to Chester and Margaret Williams. She graduated from Gwynn Park High School in 1950. Nancy married Ralph Richards (Skip) in 1955.

Nancy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was an avid gardener, voracious reader, and an amazing cook. She enjoyed discussing current events, history, genealogy, and politics. Above all else, Nancy loved time spent with her family.

A private service is planned.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department/Rescue Squad or Hospice of St. Mary's County.
