Ruby Nina Bracey, 83, of La Plata, MD, died December 2, 2008, at her residence.

Mrs. Bracey was Senate Aide on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC, for ten years. In her early years she worked as a key punch operator. Enjoyed playing Mahjong and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed being a homemaker and being with family.

Born June 1, 1925, in Poplar Bluff, MO, she was the daughter of the late Earl Patterson and the late Ettie D. Bennett Patterson.

She is predeceased by her parents; one brother, and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Winfred Russell Bracey; son, Richard A. Bracey of La Plata, MD; daughter, Carol S. and her husband John Rogers of Waldorf, MD; granddaughter, Patricia Melton; and great grandchildren, Kyle Gragasin and Hayley Melton.

Visitation will be Friday, December 5, 2008, from 11AM to 12:30PM with a service beginning at 12:30PM at the Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate.

Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD, at 1:30PM.
