Barry "Hank" Eugene Evitts was born July 5, 1960 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to the late Harry Dewight Evitts and Daisy O'Donnell Evitts.

Hank passed away on October 14, 2020 at his home beside his loving family. Hank enlisted in the United States Navy, retiring as a Chief Aviation Ordnanceman (AOC) in 2003. On May 26, 1990, Hank married his beloved wife, Eleanor in Patuxent River, MD and began celebrating over 30 wonderful years of marriage. An active member of the community, Hank was beloved by all and touched the lives of many as a member of the VFW, Elks Lodge, Ordnance Association, Department of American Veterans, and the Daisy Fund. An avid golfer and waterman, he could always be found among friends and family at Breton Bay Golf Club or out on the boat. A husband, father, brother, friend, and patriot; Hank will be missed by all.

In addition to his beloved wife, Hank is survived by his children: John, Allie, Sam and Grant; his sisters: Betty Jane Irvin of Shippensburg, PA, Barbara Buterbaugh of Mcconnelsburg, PA, and Brenda Miller of Shippensburg, PA; and countless family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with funeral services celebrated by Reverend Raymond Schmidt at 2:00 PM, at Brinsfield Funeral home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will follow at 3:15 p.m., at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Cemetery in Hollywood, MD.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Michael Thompson, Dave Rivera, Jeff Harbin, Bobby Coyte, Rick Pool, Nick Lane Stephen Mistretta, and Jay Hammond.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Daisy Fund, 122 Gilbert Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257 and the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 7, Hollywood, MD 20636.

A celebration of life will be held at the Hollywood Firehouse following interment.
