Paul Ernest Bowen,Sr.,91, of Prince Frederick, MD, passed away in Prince Frederick on September 20, 2020. Paul was born to the late George Ernest and Susie Mister Bowen on September 29, 1928 in St. Leonard, Maryland and was delivered by a midwife. He graduated from Calvert High School in 1946. Paul married Dorothy June (Ashby) Bowen and they raised two sons, Paul Bowen Jr. and Patrick Bowen. Paul was an accomplished tradesman and a Master Electrician, Master Plumber and Master in Heating and Cooling. In 1952, Paul began his own business, Paul E. Bowen Plumbing and Heating, from which he retired in 2000. Paul had a passion for fishing and hunting, especially with his dogs. He hunted with his dogs at the age of 91. Paul is survived by his son, Patrick Bowen; his brothers, Lawrence, Landell (Linda), Everett, and Charles (Darlene) Bowen; grandchildren, Keith (Ashley), Brian, Brody and Kara Bowen and Eddie Grierson; great-grandchildren, Madalynn, Gabriella, Hannah and Caden Bowen, Delaney and Paxton Grierson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was preceded in death by his father, George Bowen; his mother, Susie (Mister) Bowen; wife, Dorothy June (Ashby) Bowen; son, Paul Bowen, Jr.; brothers, George, John and Daniel Bowen; sister, Cecilia Bowen and sister-in-law, Darlene Bowen. Interment, by the side of his beloved wife June, will be a private burial at Southern Memorial Gardens.
