Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Bowling, 66, of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 30, 1954 in South Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. Trotter and Jean Marie Trotter Arwood. Cindy earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland. She also worked for A & P Grocery, then later at the College of Southern Maryland in the President's office and with fund raising. She was an active member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Laurel Grove in Mechanicsville and was the head of the Hungry Team. Cindy enjoyed reading, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys football team, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Timothy Steven Bowling Sr.; children Susan Simpson and her husband Dennis, Steve Bowling and his wife Suzanne; grandchildren Craig, Cody, Kayla, Caden, Chase and Austin; Aunt Penny and her husband Sam.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 10AM until time of Service at 11AM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Laurel Grove, 27108 Mt. Zion Church Road, Mechanicsville, Maryland 20659. Interment to follow the Service in the church cemetery.

Per COVID-19 guidelines, masks are required and social distancing is still in place. While the church is operating with limited capacity, we ask that all visitors be mindful of others.
