Truman Vincent Butler, son of the late Mr. & Mrs. John William Butler Sr., husband of the late Mary Goldena Butler, departed this life on Monday, November 24, 2008, in Waldorf, Maryland at the home of his beloved brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Steven Butler. He was born on February 23, 1949 in Bel Alton, Maryland. He received his education in the Charles County Public School system.

He was employed with the Indian Head Naval Base and furthered his career with the Federal Government Printing Office of Washington, D.C. as a heavy equipment operator. He served tenure of 40 years until his illness prevented him from performing his duties. He was a dedicated Redskins fan, along with other sports.

He leaves to cherish his memories; four daughters, Stephanie, Tonya, Catina, Cheronda and one son, Damien; two sons-in-law, Andre & Rick; eight grandchildren, Rick (Shaney) Eric, Bryan, ShaNearah, Roger (Tre), Kierra, Tamera, Steven and Jalen; two sisters, Julia and Josephine; seven brothers, John, Thomas, Steven, Manuel, Daniel, Howard, Robert and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife one sister, Audrey and one brother Charles preceded him in death.

Viewing, Saturday, November 29th, 9 am until time of Service, 11 am at Thornton Funeral Home Chapel, 3439 Livingston Road (State Route #227, Pomonkey) Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland.
