Charlotte Edwards, 94, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020.

She was born in Hughesville, Maryland on June 20, 1926, she was the daughter of John Marshall Huntington and Eva McDella (Hill).

Charlotte married the love of her life Raymond Maphies Edwards. Together they spent forty-two (42) wonderful years of marriage together before his passing in 1987.

She worked as a Proofer for documents at the National Bank of Washington for over twenty (20) years before she retired, to take care of her husband and children.

Charlotte was a devout Catholic and found peace in conversing with the Lord during her daily prayers. She was a deeply spiritual woman. She enjoyed working her word-find puzzles and complaining about the Young and Restless soap opera. Above all, Charlotte was a devoted to her family and she absolutely adored spending time with her friends and family. A great woman has left to be with the Lord, but she has left behind wonderful memories.

Charlotte is survived by her children: Stanley Edwards of Mechanicsville, MD, John Edwards (Joyce) of Churchton, MD, Dale Ferriter (John) of Mechanicsville, MD, and Harold Edwards of Oak Hill, FL; six (6) grandchildren; thirteen (13) great-grandchildren; and twelve (12) great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Alice Anderson, Magdalen Curtin, Harry Huntington, Lewis Huntington and Eleanor Castle. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter-in-law, Sherry Edwards and grandson, Steven Edwards; and several siblings.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a funeral service being held at 11:00 a.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. The service will be officiated by Deacon Bill Kyte from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will follow immediately at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
