Mary E. Pilkerton, 84, of Cobb Island, MD passed away on November 24, 2008.

She is preceded in death by her parent's' Richard L. Grissett and Catherine A. Hammett Grissett. Son; Richard L. Pilkerton. Brother; Woodrow Johnson.

She is survived by her Sons; Joseph A. Pilkerton, James R. Pilkerton, Thomas A. Pilkerton, William G. Pilkerton, and John L. Pilkerton. Daugher; Catherine L. Pilkerton. 13 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

Mary E. Pilkerton was an avid reader and loved to go to the Ocean and listen to the waves. In her spare time she would go play Bingo and do Word Puzzles, and play cards. Her favorite season was Fall and always loved to be around her Family and go to Virginia to shop and have dinner. She was the Past President of the Cobb Island V.F.D. Auxillary and was a life member of the Auxillary.

There will be a Life Celebration on Sunday, November 30, 2008 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at AREHART-ECHOLS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. in La Plata, MD. A Mass will follow on Monday, November 1, 2008 at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Issue, MD. with burial at the Christ Church-Wayside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Wedding, Bernard Shymansky, Jr., John L. Pilkerton, Jr., James R. Pilkerton, Jr., Eric Wedding, and Michael L. Pilkerton.
