Emma E. Berry Hamilton, 89 of Waldorf, MD, passed away on November 25, 2008 peacefully at her home.

Born October 4, 1919 in Waldorf, MD, she was a lifetime resident of Charles County. She was employed by Ben Weiner owner of the Ben Franklin store in Waldorf, MD. She worked as a saleslady and advanced to become Manager, she had worked for 42 years before retiring in 1992 when the store closed for business.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Authur and Annie E. Berry; brothers Ed, Carl, Horace, Lawrence, Guy, Pat and George Berry; sisters; Mary Edna Allen and Alice Berry; husband, George O. Hamilton, daughter Patsy Brackett; grandsons; Matthew and Martin Blandford.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her children; Dale Blandford , (Robert) of Williamsburg, VA, Wayne Hamilton, (Carol) of Waldorf, MD and Phillip V. Hamilton, Sr., (Judy) of Waldorf, MD, sister; Christine Peugh, (Terry) of Atlanta, GA, also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2008 from 3 to 7pm in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Piney Parish where a Celebration of Life will be conducted on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11am with Mother Joy Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
