A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Monday, November 13, 2006 at 10 AM in Holy Face Catholic Church, Great Mills, MD with Fr. Joseph Sileo officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Viewing and Visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 2 PM till 5 PM with a Prayer Service being said at 3 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel.

Rita Dolores Brown Norris, 71, of Leonardtown, MD died November 8, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Born June 5, 1935 in Leonardtown, MD she was the daughter of the late John Richley and Rosalie Hewitt Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Lee Norris on July 25, 1974, whom she married on May 4, 1963 in Leonardtown, MD. She is survived by her daughter Connie Lynn Fuchs and her husband Joseph L. of Leonardtown, MD; siblings: Ralph H. Brown of Leonardtown, MD and Rebecca Stone of Port Royal, VA; 3 step grandchildren: Jonathan Fuchs, Michael Fuchs and Jessica Christian; 2 nephews: David and Michael Brown; 4 nieces: Diane Gooding, Brandy Reece, Ashlynn and Bethany Stone; 5 great nieces; 2 great nephews and 5 "Furry" grandchildren: Tasha, Foxy, Mishka, Aspen and Lady these animals that Connie owns were the light of her life.

Mrs. Norris was a life long St. Mary's County resident where she graduated from St. Mary's Academy Class of 1953. She worked as the new accounts manager for First National Bank of St. Mary's.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 3:00 PM.
