Paul Timothy Windsor, Sr., 85, of Upper Marlboro, MD departed this life on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 5, 1935 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland to the late Eddie Windsor and Magdalene Windsor.

Paul met the love of his life, Dorothy "Hattie" Hall and married her in 1955. Together they celebrated over sixty-four (64) years of wedded bliss before her passing in April, 2020. Paul missed his beautiful bride after she went ahead to wait for him in heaven. Their family is rejoicing in the fact that their now reunited, dancing in the sky.

A man with a strong work-ethic, a kind heart and the drive to make all his aspirations a reality, Paul was the pillar of his family. The patriarch who everyone went to for guidance, a steady hand or a dose of honesty; he was their cornerstone. Paul loved his wife, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than he loved himself. He worked hard to provide a comfortable and loving life for his family.

Paul worked for the Prince George's County Board of Education as a school bus driver then retiring as a driver trainer in 1995. He not only drove the school buses but he was a trainer for new bus drivers. He took great pride in making sure he continued the safety standards implemented by the Board of Education ensuring the safety of the children as if they were his own.

His job as a driver trainer was only one of his careers, he was also a farmer. He raised tobacco, corn, soybeans, sugar corn, watermelon and cantaloupes. Paul worked from sun-up till sundown in the fields. He worked tirelessly under the hot sun maintaining his crops and making memories. If you were to ask his children, they all remember seeing their dad on his tractor, dirt on his pants with a farmer's tan plowing the fields. The work may have been hard, the days long and the weather temperamental but Paul felt at peace with a little dirt on his hands and grit on his clothes. He would come up to the house at the end of the day with a smile for his kids, a kiss for his wife and happiness in his soul. He was animal lover and raised dogs to compete in fox chases. He was even a member of the Maryland State Foxchasers Association, in which he served as an Honorary Director for many years.

A great man was lost, but the lessons he taught his family to be kind, humble and appreciative are ingrained in their souls. His spirit was lost without his beloved Hattie beside him the last three months of his life. Now they are together building a golden palace in heaven. Side-by-side, they are watching the love they created on earth grow through future generations. Cherished memories will be held close to the heart, laughter will be heard and love will abound in the eyes of their family.

Paul is survived by his children, Paul Timothy Windsor, Jr. (Darlene) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Joseph Arnold Windsor (Beverly) of Upper Marlboro, Daniel Edward Windsor of Upper Marlboro and Veronica Lee Thompson (Kirk) of Upper Marlboro, MD; seven (7) grandchildren, Mary Anne Windsor, Joseph Arnold Windsor Jr, Melissa Aminett Thompson, Jennifer Theresa Devaughn, John Paul Windsor and Melanie Ronny-Ann Cochran and three (3) great grandchildren, Steven James Thompson, Parker Lee Bates and Levi Joseph Devaughn and brother, William W. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Windsor, brother, Hugh Windsor, sister, Theresa Hopson, and granddaughter, Danielle Leigh Windsor.
