Mabel Althelia Hedges, 91, of Indian Head, died November 22, 2008, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Mrs. Hedges was a homemaker. She was a founding member of the Indian Head Assembly of God Church in Indian Head, MD, and was on the committee that found the property and helped design and build the church. She made all of her own clothing, enjoying sewing, crocheting, and cooking.

Born June 8, 1917, in Hoadley, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Hedges and the late Ruth Arrington Hedges.

Predeceased by parents; her husband, Carlton Hedges; and daughter, Marjorie Riley.

She is survived by daughter, Lottie Eunice Patterson of Zephyrhills, Florida; and grandchildren, Mary Annette and James Alvin Riley, both of Tennessee.

Visitation will be Tuesday , November 25, 2008, from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 26, 2008, 10AM at Indian Head Assembly of God Church, 4370 Hawthorne Road, Indian Head, MD, and will be officiated by Rev. Bryan Schwing. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
